In Toxic is the story of hope and radical action in the face of addiction and depression. Two sisters come of age in a small religious community with daily coal trains barreling through town. As the whole community decides what to do to stand up to the environmental destruction caused by the coal, the sisters redefine their relationship in the context of drug abuse and recovery. It has elements of music, movement and magical realism.
