Polaris Dance Theatre presents Groovin’ Greenhouse, a series of World Premiere dance works. Polaris, along with guest dance companies from every corner of Portland, are working with established and emerging Portland choreographers to present brand new dance works in Polaris Dance Theatre’s intimate black box theatre. Each evening will include a performance by Polaris Dance Theatre’s professional company, with a World Premiere by Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer, Robert Guitron. Guitron and his athletic company play with fresh, new ideas with this work-in-progress. The Polaris Dance Company will also feature work by Spanish Choreographer and Company Dancer, Gerard Regot. His inspiring new work grapples with the struggles of overcoming loss. This diverse company will pull at your heartstrings and demand the audience members think in a different way. This evening, is also shared by NW Fusion under the direction of Brad Hampton. These young, energetic and talented dancers bring fresh new work to the festival. NW Fusion is a pre-professional dance company with the focus of preparing young artists for a career in the performing arts. For more information please visit: www.NWFusion.org. In addition, Choreographer, Les Watanabe will present Love Songs, a trio of dances to music composed by Cuban singer, Bola De Nieve, and danced by Portland’s Terry Brock and Felice Moskowitz.
